A Toronto-based health professional has created nine holiday cards to help people opt out of holiday events.
Julie Amar, who is a registered traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, says she constantly sees patients around this time of year who are worn out, overtired, stressed and battling various illnesses.
She adds that the winter months should be about taking it easy at the end of the year, but instead, people are being encouraged to attend holiday parties, which are draining their immune system.
As a result, she has created nine holiday cards, which are available for free online to help people quote “prioritize their wellness”
She feels the cards are a cheeky way to say, “Um….no thanks.”
