For the first time in over a week, it's back to the bargaining table today for the province and the union representing high school teachers (OSSTF).
If a deal isn't reached, another strike is planned for this Wednesday, but NOT affecting any schools in Simcoe County and Muskoka.
It would be the third in a series of single-day strikes carried out by Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation members, as the union battles with province over the terms of a new contract, which they have been without since August.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce said he believes a “voluntary agreement” can be achieved but called on the union to halt further job action.
