The time of Orillia City Council and Committee meetings is changing in the New Year.
Beginning in January 2020, they will start at 6 p.m.
The time change marks the conclusion of a pilot project which had Council Committee meetings starting at 2 p.m. and Council meetings starting at 7 p.m.
Mayor Steve Clarke says, “Council’s decision to change the start time of both Council Committee and Council meetings to 6 p.m. endeavours to balance the varying and complex schedules of the public, Council members and City staff.”
