Ice fisherman are being reminded that it’s still not safe to be putting huts on Cooks Bay in Lake Simcoe.
South Simcoe Police issued a warning yesterday saying some anglers are putting their lives at risk, after a concerned citizen sent pictures to police of huts on the ice and vehicles parked near shore.
According to police, local ice hut operators say it’s too soon and too dangerous.
Police say don’t risk your safety and that of emergency responders.
