The township of Oro-Medonte is reminding residents that dog tags are supposed to be renewed every year.
They also need to be affixed to each dog.
It costs $25 for any male or female dog, and only 20 dollars if they are spayed or neutered, or $15 if they also have a micro chip.
Dog tags and renewals can be purchased securely on-line.
The dog tag is non-transferable, if the ownership of the dog changes or a new dog is acquired, a new tag must be purchased.
