OPP are maintaining a strong presence on area roads and snowmobile trails this winter.
Southern Georgian Bay OPP has conducted R.I.D.E. checks on 888 vehicles and drivers at 13 separate locations some of which included roadways intersecting portions of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail system over the January 9-12th time period.
Officers administered two roadside screening device tests which resulted in a “pass” result for the drivers.
Police are thanking drivers checked for making the right choice before getting behind the wheel.
