The seven-year-old boy shot at a home in Hamilton is in stable condition in hospital.
Police have given an update to the incident that happened on Gordon Street, in the area of Barton Street East and Gage Avenue North, just before 8 o'clock last night (Thursday).
Investigators say the boy was on the main floor of the home when a gun was fired into a window from a vehicle.
Police are looking for two “persons of interest” as well as a light coloured four door sedan.
Officers are also trying to determine who the intended target in the home was.
At the time of the incident, there were three adults and two children including the innocent victim, inside the house.
Investigators say they have “plenty” of video surveillance they are going through and welcome any other videos and other information from the public.
