All elementary schools in the Simcoe County District School Board are closed today for the latest rotating strikes by teachers.
The Penetanguishene Protestant Separate School Board is also affected.
However, all high schools and adult learning centres will remain open to students today and buses will run as per their regular schedule.
All Grade 9-12 students at Elmvale District High School and Stayner Collegiate Institute will still report to school for classes as usual.
All four major teachers’ unions are currently engaged in job action.
The union representing teachers in the French system will start Phase 2 of a work-to-rule campaign tomorrow, including not participating in fundraising or field trips, and not completing report cards.
Meanwhile, Kindergarten registration for the Simcoe County School Board opens today.
