Four “Leap Year” babies have been born at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
They’re called ‘leaplings’ and they will only get a chance to celebrate a birthday every four years, on February 29th.
The chance of being born on a leap day is about one in 1,461.
The first baby born on Saturday was Lexington Taylor at 12:44 a.m.; followed by Theron Townson at 1:50 a.m.; Everly Nimmo-Booth at 1:55 a.m.; Asher Strong at 2:04 p.m. and a little girl (yet to be named) was born to Michael and Charlene Durkin at 4:01 p.m..
Congratulations to the happy parents!
