Three of four teachers unions in the province are holding strikes this week, but the good news is, they are all taking place on the same day.
The Ontario English Catholic Teachers’ Association (OECTA) is planning on holding a province-wide one-day strike on Thursday (March 5th), as well as the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) and Ontario’s French-language teachers (AEFO).
The union representing English public elementary teachers (ETFO) has taken a break from strikes to concentrate on applying political pressure to the provincial government.
However, its president has said that, if no deal is reached by the end of this week, there will be further job actions.
