Aidan Dudas scored twice and added a shootout marker for the Attack who now have 2 in a row to pull within 4 points of Kitchener for 1st place in the Midwest Division.
Nick Suzuki who had an exceptional game, also scored in the shootout for the Attack who are 13-7-0 & 2 on the road.
Dudas opened the scoring 63 seconds into the game, scoring a power play marker.
In the 2nd period, Dudas struck again on a great set up from Ethan Szypula.
Underage netminder Mack Guzda had a shutout going for 2 periods but was beaten by Kirill Maksimov just 27 seconds into the 3rd period.
Defenceman Liam Ham tied the game for the IceDogs when he shot hit the glass behind Guzda and caromed back towards the crease, striking Guzda and sliding into the net.
Niagara netminder Stephen Dhillon was terrific in the game stopping 42 shots including 6 in the overtime period when the IceDogs were outshot 6-0.
In the shootout, Dhillon strongly protested the marker by Dudas that stood as the shootout clinching goal
The shootout loss moves Niagara to 9-8-3 & 2 on the season and ties them with the Mississauga IceDogs at 23 points.
The Attack will be at London on Friday night to face the Knights ( 7 pm for Terry’s Trailer Service-Kia of Owen Sound Bearadio on CFOS )
The IceDogs host Ottawa on Friday night.
