Orillia OPP have laid charges in relation to several complaints of theft and fraud from patients and staff within Soldier’s Memorial Hospital.
A 34 year old woman from Burlington has been charged with disobeying a court order and making false statement in writing.
The investigation is ongoing – police believe there may be additional patients from various units in the hospital who fell victim. The timeline of concern is April of 2025 through March 2026. Anyone who was a patient is asked to review their credit card statements and report suspected theft or fraudulent activity to OPP.
