Sydney Riley, from Wasaga Beach, is an ISSA and Josie nominated singer, nominated for the Emergent Artist of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, and Song of the Year awards. Along with these achievements, she has also won Max FM’s 2023 Battle of the Bands competition.
She likes to use her doubts and fears to drive her songwriting. Between her personal lyrics and powerful vocals, her songs become an emotional experience. They hold the listener in through an often aquatic journey, fueled by Sydney’s lifelong love for water. This is exemplified on her Water EP, which released in 2021. Two of the songs from that EP are played on Max FM: Water, and In The Weeds.
