The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to a collision involving two commercial motor vehicles in the Township of Oro-Medonte.
On May 19, 2023, just before 9:00 a.m., officers from Orillia OPP were called to a traffic collision on Line 9 North.
Two commercial dump trucks collided while one was attempting to cross Old Barrie Road. One truck sustained damage causing diesel fuel to spill onto the roadway.
As a result, a 27-year-old male from Brampton was charged with:
· Start from stopped position – not in safety.
Lanes were reduced temporarily at Line 9 and Old Barrie Road but have since been reopened.
All parties were alert, and no injuries were reported.
