Bruce Power is making its commitment to net-zero emissions for its site within the next five years.
Danielle La Croix, the Senior Director for Environment, Sustainability, and Net Zero says that work has already begun toward their goal, having reduced their emissions by five percent.
The announcement came with Bruce Power’s unveiling of their Road Map to Net Zero, which was released on Thursday.
Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice President for Operational Services James Scongack says he believes that electricity generation is fundamentally linked to climate change and and also decarbonization.
He also says their action plan leverages Ontario’s nuclear advantage to help achieve their targets.
