A man and a woman are facing charges after a stolen van crashed into a home in Barrie.
Police say a U-Haul van was travelling on Hurst Drive when in left the roadway and ended up crashing into a house around 7:30 Friday morning.
The occupants of the van fled before police arrived.
Both were eventually apprehended thanks to the canine unit.
A further investigation revealed that the male driver was impaired by drugs, and the female passenger was wanted by South Simcoe Police on an outstanding warrant.
A 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman — both from Barrie — are facing a number of charges.
