Several people are being commended for saving the life of man who almost drowned on Whites Bay.
A young child was swimming with her family along with several other families at Whites Falls in Georgian Bay Township Saturday afternoon.
The child was seen having difficulty in the water so an adult male went to her aid.
However the adult went underwater and did not resurface.
A nearby boater rushed in to help the child on to the boat then dove in to bring in the unconscious male.
Another adult performed CPR on the victim until he was able to breathe on his own again.
The man was transported by paramedics to Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland for treatment.
