The recent rainfall is prompting many more municipalities to lift their fire bans.
On Wednesday, open air burning is now permitted once again in the Towns of Bradford-West Gwillimbury and Innisfil, the Township of Springwater, and the District of Muskoka.
They join Midland, Penetanguishene, Adjala-Tosorontio, Tiny Township, and Dufferin County in lifting their ban on open burning.
However, people are still required to get the necessary permits before they start a fire.
Fireworks will be permitted for the August long weekend in Innisfil so as long as residents there get the appropriate permit.
Fire danger ratings to continue to be high in Muskoka and Springwater while others have lower their levels to moderate or low.
