A gas leak proved to be a minor inconvenience to motorists and nearby residents.
Orillia OPP and Orillia Fire were called to an area on West Street North where a contractor hit a gas line Tuesday around Noon.
Fire Chief Ralph Dominelli says six apartment units were evacuated as a result.
He says no one was hurt and Union Gas responded quickly to fix the leak.
West Street North was closed between South and North Streets but was reopened in less than an hour.
