A criminal investigation is underway after a man was pronounced dead in a grassy area next to the Tim Hortons on Westmount Drive in Orillia.
Police say they received a 911 call around 7:30 Monday morning about a male in medical distress.
Sgt. Peter Leon says an altercation appeared to have taken place and the man had obvious signs of injuries.
Police are looking for a suspect.
Yellow tape roped off the Tim Hortons property, as officers with police dogs scoured the back of the coffee shop.
A police helicopter was also brought in to assist in the investigation.
The age of the man and his identity has not been released.
