Another mosquito pool has tested positive for the West Nile virus.
Officials with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit say mosquitoes were collected from a trap in Alliston and have confirmed they are carrying the virus.
The first reported case of the West Nile virus in Simcoe County was in Bradford-West Gwillimbury on July 30th.
The health unit is reminding people to protect themselves from mosquito bites by using approved insect repellant, wearing light-coloured clothing, and removing standing water.
