Ontario is delaying the launch of private marijuana sales in brick-and-mortar stores for nearly six months after the drug is legalized for recreational use.
Finance Minister Vic Fedeli told reporters on Monday that for now, you will be able to order pot on-line from the government-run Ontario Canabis Store starting October 17th.
The announcement is an abrupt policy change from the former Liberal government, which planned to sell cannabis in government-run pot shops, starting with 40 in 2018.
Canada is set to legalize recreational pot sales on Oct. 17th.
