It was another come-from-behind win for the Barrie Baycats.
Branfy Infante slugged a 6th inning grand slam as the Baycats went on to beat the Hamilton Cardinals 8-5 Sunday night in Game 3 of the Intercounty Baseball League semifinal series.
Infante's (2-for-4, GS, 4 RBIs) home run came off Cardinals starter Zack Gonzales (6 IP, 6 R, 8 H, 3 BB, 3 K) with one out and the Baycats trailing 5-2.
Hamilton got to Barrie starter Emilis Guerrero (5 IP, 5 R, 7 H, 3 K) early on a second-inning home run from Lane Reneau then scored three runs in the third capped by a 2-run double by Jon Dziomba for a 4-1 lead.
Kevin Atkinson (2-for-4, HR, 2 RBIs) also homered while Glenn Jackson went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Chris Beer was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and a run scored for the Cardinals.
Santos Arias picked up the win in relief, Chris Nagorski got the save.
The Baycats now hold a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven and can clinch the series with a win in Game 4 Tuesday night in Hamilton.
