The hot dry weather we had earlier this year appears to be a distant memory.
Environment Canada is out with a special weather statement calling for anywhere between 30 and 50 millimetres of rain today, possibly more in some areas.
The forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms throughout the day.
The special weather statement covers all of southern Ontario.
Areas of Parry Sound and Muskoka are also under a rainfall warning.
Last week, rainfall caused flooding in several areas including parts of downtown Toronto.
