Georigan College is preparing for the legalization of marijuana.
Recreational marijuana becomes legal October 17th and anyone over the age of 19 in Ontario will be able to buy it.
In an email, Georgian Communications spokesperson Elaine Murray said the school has a working group reviewing the college's on campus smoking policy and will update the policy to address the impact of legalization.
Murray said there will be no use of cannabis on campus including in residence because it is deemed a public space.
The Ontario government has banned marijuana use in public, restricting anyone who wants to smoke to private homes.
