Quick action by the public prevented a double drowning at Awenda Provincial Park in Tiny Township.
First responders arrived at Beach Area 4 Saturday afternoon and found a physically exhausted 33 year old man and woman on shore after they got into water over their head and were pulled to safety by other swimmers as they appeared unconscious.
The pair regained consciousness on the beach and were taken to the Midland hospital for a check over and later released.
