Positive news for heart patients.
The regional heart program at the Barrie hospital celebrated another milestone this week, as three advanced cardiac procedures were performed, including the first angioplasty.
Angiograms have been done at the clinic since January.
Cardiac services are being phased in, and by 2020, North Simcoe heart attack patients will be taken directly to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, bypassing other local emergency departments.
