The Premier and the trade minister are back from their trip to Washington.
Ontario Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, Jim Wilson says they met with the Canadian negotiating team to discuss the North American Free Trade Agreement on Wednesday.
Wilson, who is also the MPP for Simcoe-Grey, says it was a successful day in driving home their message that Ontario jobs must be protected especially in steel and aluminium as well as agriculture and automotive.
He says he can't talk publicly about how jobs can be retained and new ones created, but he did say the way to save jobs is to remove regulatory barriers and to make sure Canada has open and free trade with the United States.
