The Orillia Terriers are off to their best start since they came into the league in 2013.
Jason Cumbo stopped 30 shots as the Terriers edged the Caledon Golden Hawks 2-1 on Saturday night to improve their record to 3 & 0.
There was no scoring in the first period.
Jacob Beard (1 goal, 1 assist) got Orillia on the board 61 seconds into the second period for a 1-0 lead.
Corey Miller would score for the Terriers on the power play at the 4:23 of the third period to make it 2-0.
Caledon would answer at 9:28 when Dante Zucarro scored to cut Orillia's lead down to 2-1.
Dylan Cox stopped 34 shots for the Golden Hawks (2-1-0).
Orillia was 1-for-6 on the power play, Caledon finished 0-for-4.
Next game for the Terriers is next Saturday night when they host the Penetang Kings at Rotary Place.
