A new federal party has formed, as an alternative to the Andrew Scheer-lead Conservatives.
Former Conservative leadership rival Maxime Bernier created the “People's Party of Canada,” after taking issue with party politics with the Tories.
Bayshore Broadcasting News asked if you feel the formation of the People's Party would hurt the Conservatives.
A resounding 60 per cent of respondents feel Bernier is out for himself, and his party's formation will have little affect on the Tories.
One voter feels Bernier's strength in Quebec will do more damage to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, whose political career is based in Montreal.
Nearly a quarter of voters, 24 per cent, feel Bernier's support as a Conservative leadership contender will have some affect on the federal Tories.
Meantime, 16 per cent of respondents feel Bernier's new party will be used as a tool by the Trudeau Liberals to prove there is discontent among in the CPC.
