Fire crews responded to two house fires in Barrie this long weekend.
On Saturday, a dryer fire broke out in a home on Hawthorne at Ferndale Road South.
The family made it out safely, but none of the smoke alarms were working properly or at all.
Fire crews were earlier called to a fire in a garage at a house on Shadowood Road.
The fire was caused by combustibles that were too close to a space heater.
No one was hurt.
