A South Simcoe Police officer on his way to a RIDE program in Innisfil last night to mark the first day of legal marijuana nabbed a driver before getting to the spot check.
The officer saw a front seat passenger drinking alcohol and stopped the vehicle.
The driver was charged with breach of probation after a roadside breath test registered the presence of alcohol.
As for the passenger, he got a ticket for having an open container of liquor.
