Cannabis may be legal country-wide, but not everyone wants a pot shop in their town.
In our latest online survey, Bayshore Broadcasting asked if you thought legal pot would have a good or bad effect on your community.
A whopping 73 per cent of respondents feel marijuana would effect their community negatively.
The majority of those voters, 34 per cent, feel pot is a gateway drug, which will lead to a greater number of heavy drug users in the neighbourhood.
The others worry about increased workloads for police, or young people getting a hold of marijuana.
Meantime, only 26 per cent of respondents feel weed will impact their neighbourhoods positively.
Most see the benefit in jobs created in the pot sector, while others appreciate the increased tax revenue for senior levels of government.
