The Spartans got 2 goals from David Nola and Nash Smith as they bounced back from a 9-4 loss the night before at Bradford against the Bulls.
Netminder Martin Petiul was credited with 47 saves in the victory.
Deivids Tempelmanis had the other goal for Almaguin who overcame a shaky start to score the victory.
The Spartans were penalized before the opening faceoff and Vojtech Svoboda of Meaford scored on the power play.
Just over a minute later, Tyler Arsenault scored for the Knights who held a 2-0 lead just 2 & 1/2 minutes into the affair.
The Spartans settled down and proceeded to score 5 unanswered goals to post the victory and move to 18 points on the season, good for a 3rd place tie in the North with New Tecumseth who handed Ville Marie their first loss of the season with a 6-5 victory in Alliston
The Knights return to action Saturday night when they host Temiscaming.
The Wiarton Schooners are also at home Saturday night when they host New Tecumseth.
