Lakehead University is expecting ‘Giving Tuesday’ to be even bigger than ever.
A relatively new Canadian movement for giving, ‘Giving Tuesday’ is seen as the opening day of the giving season, a time when charities, companies, and individuals join together to share their commitment, rally for favourite causes and think about others.
Lakehead’s Alumni Association has once again agreed to match donations up to the first $25,000 in new gifts received towards student financial aid.
Since 2016, $99,214 has been raised through Lakehead’s Giving Tuesday efforts.
Your donation will help fund scholarships and bursaries and enhance the student experience and support student athletes.
You are encouraged to make a gift at the Giving Tuesday portal at donate.lakeheadu.ca – it opens Nov. 27th at 12:01 am and closes at midnight.
Also – take a selfie or pose for a photo and post it to your social media page using the hashtag #GivingTuesday and #lakeheadu.
