The Orillia teen charged in a crash that killed a mother and her young son has been granted bail.
18 yr old Evan Campbell faces charges including two counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm. The victim’s husband also suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital
The crash happened around 2 a.m. on Nov. 1st when a grey Hyundai was northbound on Mavis Road, where it collided with a black eastbound Nissan travelling on Burnhamthorpe Road.
Campbell has been released on $40,000 bail. According to the bail conditions, he must live with his parents and can’t operate a motor vehicle and must abide by a curfew
Campbell returns to court Jan. 14.
