A woman at a Bay Street residence in Tay Township called 911 but she was not there when police arrived.
OPP say the call was made shortly after two yesterday afternoon(TUES).
Officers then spotted a vehicle in the Victoria Harbour area that had left the residence prior to the arrival of police.
The OPP helicopter and K9-Unit was called in to assist.
A few hours later, police arrested a 55 year old man at another residence in Tay Township, where they also found the female, uninjured.
The charges against the man include flight while being pursued, forcible confinement, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and fail to comply.
