Four downtown Orillia projects are being funded to the tune of $45,825.
The announcement by the City about the four Community Improvement Grants came today.
62 Peter St. N. gets $3,000 for feasibility and design drawings to install a barrier-free access ramp.
58 Albert St. S. gets $32,000 in residential and feasibility/design grant money to develop a vacant piece of property and create four new residential units.
131 Atherley Rd. gets $7,500 for improvements to upgrade a storefront as well as replace store signage.
And 14 Peter St. S Gets $3,325 for work needed to replace and upgrade to a barrier-free accessible door.
Mayor Steve Clarke says so far, seven projects that received improvement grants are complete and they’re beginning to see the positive impact these projects have on the look and feel of the downtown.
