The OPP is reminding people that no ice is safe ice.
A man and a woman died after they went snowmobiling on a lake (Jack Lake) Christmas Day near Apsley in North Kawartha Township.
Peterborough County OPP say the two were last seen around 11 p.m. Tuesday and their bodies were discovered with the sleds about 30 feet from shore Wednesday morning.
The victims are 76 year old Gerald White and 69 year old Patricia White both of Toronto.
Autopsies are being done in Toronto.
