Not only was she allegedly impaired behind the wheel, a 23 year old Scarborough woman was travelling the wrong way on Highway 89 east of the 400.
Around 2 this morning, South Simcoe Police spotted a speeding vehicle headed westbound, and in an attempt to make a traffic stop, the vehicle accelerated and entered the eastbound lanes and continued to drive on the wrong side of the road for more than 3 kilometres.
The vehicle was clocked at 122 km/h an hour in a posted 50 zone before stopping at a red light at County Road 27 in Cookstown.
Charges against the woman include impaired driving by alcohol and drugs, dangerous driving, stunt driving, speeding and over 89 mgs.
