Despite the cold winter months the Orillia Farmer’s Market is still going strong.
Market Manager Jim Harris says there were 25 vendors last week operating in the market.
This is less than the 60 vendors they attract in the summer, but there is still wide variety of goods available.
There is still late season produce available, as well as baked goods and speciality items.
And good news, there is free parking at lots adjacent to the market for those having to drive.
Harris says that the market not only draws customers from Orillia, but also a number of outlying communities.
He adds that there is a stong core in the local community who support the market.
Harris says that the market has a strong relationship with the city and its departments.
While a number of the vendors are from Orillia they draw vendors from around the region, including Oro-Medonte, Severn and Ramara.
