The Orillia Police Services Board has elected a new chair.
After a long stint as Vice-Chair of the board, George Morano will take on the responsibilities of chair.
Morano replaces Don MacNeil who had reached the end of his term.
Morano has a long history as vice-chair of the board and it was a logical step for him to take on the chair position.
He says he has a great familiarity with the issues currently facing the Police Services Board.
A new Vice-Chair was also elected with Rick Fraracca taking that job.
