A 40 year old Gravenhurst man is dead, after a snowmobile collided with a steel dock at the Muskoka Wharf in Gravenhurst.
It happened just after ten Saturday night.
OPP say a snowmobile with two people on board was travelling towards shore when the collision occurred.
The driver, Dennis Totten was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female passenger on the sled was treated for minor injuries.
Police were on the scene for several hours gathering evidence and trying to learn more about the cause.
A post mortem examination will be scheduled later this week.
