The City of Orillia gearing up to battle tomorrows expected snowstorm.
If you are out today and notice a blue substance on many of the streets, that is the the cities first attack against tomorrows snow.
Roads manager Tim Uren says they have applied an anti icing solution to the major roads and hills in the city to prevent the snow from bonding with the pavement.
He says its a combination of magnesium chloride, corn starch and a liquid.
Uren says this solution usually keeps working for up to three days and that will help the city with its snow removal operation.
