This winter strom causing problems on area roads.
Plows and sanders are out, but the snow and strong winds causing problems as far as visibility is concerned.
Highway 12 east and west of Orillia is snow covered with blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility.
Highway 11 north and south of Orillia also is snow covered with drifted sections and again poor visibility.
To the west, the Highway 400 extension north through Craighurst and Severn Falls also snow covered with drifted section and poor visibility.
In Orillia the major roads are being plowed but many side streets have not yet been plowed.
Once again police say if you don’t have to travel then stay off the roads until the weather clears.
