Lots of people took the plunge at the Orillia Winter Carnival annual Polar Bear Dip.
The annual fundraiser for chairity went off without a hitch at Couchiching Beach Park Sunday Afternoon with more than 100 people plunging into the icy waters.
Two of those were Chrissie and Paul Payton, the first time for her, the 11 time for him.
He says this is a great event especially since it raised money for charity.
Payton says it was back in 2008 during that years event he used the opportunity to propose to his wife in front of the other dippers.
He says she was a little taken aback, but did accept.
This years Polar Bear Dip raised 12 thousand dollars for two local Orillia Charities.
All the money raised will be split between the Orillia Common Roof Organization and the Couchiching Jubilee House.
