John Dance has been elected as the new Chairman of the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium (SCSTC).
Dance, Superintendent of Education for the Simcoe County District School Board, was elected by the SCSTC Board of Directors last Thursday.
Michael Kodama, Chief Executive Officer of the SCSTC says they are delighted to have John back at the board table.
Kodama says Dances previous experience on the consortium board and strong background in the education sector will be of great value.
Almost half of the students within Simcoe County receive bus transportation.
The SCSTC facilitates transportation for students nearly 35,000 students.
