Orillia Council is moving quickly to try and find an answer to just where the Orillia Farmers Market will be located.
The Farmers Market Committee passed a motion not to move back to the new Library Market Square because of a lack of facilities and lack of parking space.
As a result of that, Council has set up a special ad hoc committee to deal with the future location.
Ward 1 Councillor Patrick Kehoe says considering how quickly the new Library market square building is being constructed any decision on changes must be made very quickly, within five or six weeks at the most.
He says its vital the market remain in the downtown area because during the summer months it is responsible for brining thousands of shoppers to the downtown area.
