Orillia Mayor Angelo Orsi has started a probe into why and how confidential documents were leaked to the local news paper regarding negotations surrounding the Huronia Regional Centre lands.
The Mayor says the file allegedly contains confidential information shared with the City by the Ontario Realty Corporation.
Mayor Orsi says the City intends to conduct a review to determine the legal and privacy implications with respect to the confidential documents .
Orsi says this potential breach of trust may affect the negotiations between the city and the Ontario Government, and could potentially strain the positive relationships that have been built with the negotiating parties.
He says the City also will undertake a review of how confidential documents are shared, secured and managed.
