It’s not always young people that police have to deal with in regards to drinking and driving.
On Saturday, Orillia OPP stopped a southbound vehicle on Highway 11…with an erratic driver who has travelling at a high speed and weaving across the centre line. The female driver had her two grandchildren in the vehicle and an open bottle of vodka. She was taken to the police station where she blew well over the limit. The Childrens Aid Society was notified.
The 49-year old Bracebridge woman was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80. She was released on a promise to appear and will be in court in Orillia Apr 5th. Her name has not been released to protect the identity of the children.
